Integrate marketing and sales efforts, key focus areas of Product management including product launches, product pricing, annual budgeting / forecast, push and pull schemes, product line support for the sales team and assimilation of market / competitor information. Provide business line support for planning marketing program, channel support, and sales support. Interact with sales, product development, customer service, to ensure that the marketing collateral accurately reflects benefits and features from every user perspective and persona. Define and deliver a product-marketing plan that combines an in-depth understanding of the market, competitive and consumer for a group of products.
MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Product Line Support Define product development strategy and roadmap Conducting regular product briefing and review meetings for enabling the sales readiness of the team. Internal and external communicator for the product lines / positioning. Provide product positioning training and materials for sales department and customer service. Tracking, analysis and interpretation of product-wise movement for identifying and taking corrective action for improvement in sales. Develop standardized sales presentations, proposals, scripts, etc. Develop market specific global statements, using business cases, scenarios, sharing recommendations and results with seniormanagersto facilitate product roadmap definition.
Product Launches Actively coordinate in designing and implementing product launches. Deciding on the price / positioning for new launches using pre-launch surveys if required. Identifying and proposing the annual new product requirement. Identifying gaps in the existing product lines and suggesting replacements / new ranges. Identify weak products to be discontinued to maintain optimum shelf space when new products are introduced. Periodic assessment of new products after launch and generating reports for Management reviews.
Pricing / Analysis Pricing structure analysis and corrections, product positioning based on the movement / requirement / market or competitor strategies. Post launch surveys to conduct the performance of various products at different life cycles.
Scheme Planning (Push / Pull) Plan and implement regular push / pull schemes based on events / to improve slow moving products / increase turnover of a region or outlet. Motivate the team by planning annual / periodic push incentive schemes for all levels of the sales team.
Budgeting / Forecasting Annual Budgeting Productwise for the coming year in consultation with the sales team and management. Forecast of New Product Requirements for the coming financial year.
Market / Competitor Information Generate market intelligence reports Completing competitive analysis and providing insights to LineManager. Assimilate and act on market / competitor information. To regularly identify and participate in events and exhibitions as part of the marketing effort. MIS & Market intelligence reports covering competitor analysis
Miscellaneous Periodic Tracking and analysis of Footfall, Loss of Sale and other key parameters. Management MIS& specific analysis reports/ presentations. Managing city tours, tradeshows, company sponsored promotions and events.

Defining the product vision and work closely with engineering, sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. Academic : Graduate in any discipline; MBA (Sales & Marketing)
Experience : 12-15 years of experience in the stream of product development preferably in the FMCG, perfumes or related industry
Knowledge : In-depth knowledge of sales, marketing and development Knowledge of Retail, Distribution and Institutional sales Strong leadership, sales support and training skills. Good knowledge of Market Research, Product Marketing &Brandmanagement Excellent analytical and presentation skills Demonstration skills to handle multiple assignments System knowledge adept in MS Office & ERP Skills/ Abilities : Highly Creative, Analytical & Presentation skills Leadership & Team Management skills Excellent communication skills verbal & written Ability to conceptualize new ideas, research and evaluate them objectively from a market and financial standpoint. High degree of tolerance for uncertainty since new product development is ever changing.
