Job Description
    Job Summary

    We are looking for a dynamic, organized, self-starter to head Human Resources for our India operations of 550+ employees and be part of the Global HR Team. We are looking for a leader with a driven work ethic who can fit into a collaborative, results-oriented environment at an exciting growth company past the early start-up phase. This position will have matrixed reporting into both the VP of Global HR based in Redwood Shores CA and the SVP of India Operations. 

    The right candidate will have strong leadership and business facing skills and a passion for helping the business grow and scale to new heights. The Head of India Human Resources is both a strategic and hands-on role that provides full cycle Human Resources support to various functional areas. The role is critical in executing our people initiatives, providing great internal customer support, driving HR functional excellence and process improvement. The role will also be a strategic player in shaping our culture and global Human Resources practices ensuring One Zyme Team globally.

    Key Responsibilities

    Partnering with business leaders globally to drive People Strategy and organization agenda
    Understand business goals and recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity and development of HR
    Aligning your work, initiatives, programs, and projects to business drivers and strategy influencing cultural evolution through talent acquisition, rewards systems, employee engagement, leadership development, talent diversity, and creating an inclusive environment 
    Serve as a key member of the leadership team to assist in driving business results 
    Ensure strategic clarity for managers and employees; work closely with domestic and international HR team to execute
    Provide coaching to business leaders and work to improve effectiveness of leadership teams
    Lead end-to-end implementation and execution of core HR programs and initiatives; provide business-specific feedback to the VP of Global HR for design and delivery improvement of programs
    Partner with and coach business leadership teams to facilitate organization and culture change; act as a catalyst for building organizational effectiveness within the business 
    Educate business on HR trends that affect the business; ensure business sponsorship for HR initiatives
    Create a vision and goals for a HR team and inspire and motivate the team to achieve excellence in terms of customer support and core HR processes
    Successfully monitor the pulse of the employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement
    Responsible for organizational planning, performance management and identifying training development work to ensure that Global Human Resource strategies are successfully implemented
    Contribute to the development of Global Human Resource strategies
    Establish and maintain HR policies and procedures which will add both operational and strategic value
    Manage and oversee employee relations issues for the India region 
    Help enable the business to attract, retain and develop top talent to achieve business results and scale the company
    Maintain Zymes strong workforce diversity through thoughtful and high impact leadership coaching and programs 
    Contribute to the development of the annual HR plan for the organization

    Required Skills and Characteristics

    Passion for innovative HR solutions and process improvement; Demonstrated experience driving processes improvements and development of specific skills 
    Strong project management skills; ability to lead projects, to influence and obtain buy-in, and then drive execution and achievement of the right results
    A true hands on approach the ability to be comfortable with high volume workload and not be afraid to roll up your sleeves
    You are comfortable working in fast-paced environment and stay on top of multiple activities 
    Strong internal and external customer service focus
    Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
    You bring a mix of analytical sharpness and intuitive, creative pattern formation in how you approach problems and open questions
    Highly developed written and oral English skills 
    Strong presentation skills

    Experience

    10+ years of relevant work experience with exposure across all HR Functions
    HRBP experience of working closely with multiple functions and senior business leaders
    Experience with rapidly changing, global and complex work environment
    Experience with creating People Strategy, transformation and scaling initiatives in a fast business growth environment
    Demonstrated excellent skills in the areas of: leadership, business acumen, consulting, analysis, project management, communication, presentation, negotiation and conflict management, and problem solving while working within a matrix organization structure
    Success in creating and driving effective and positive employee relations, retention and reward programs
    Experience in product development or IT services environments start-up experience a plus
    Strong and well balanced technical and business skills, and effective and comfortable presenting to leaders across the organization 
    University degree required, MBA or an advanced degree in HR, business or relevant curriculum preferred
